Description
AcuCam Concept IV intraoral camera system includes a camera and universal docking station. The monitor, printer, and foot switch were included as part of the system evaluated. AcuCam Concept IV can be set up as an analog or digital system, in a stand-alone or network configuration. Each AcuCam Linx will video-network up to six treatment rooms with a centrally located printer. The AcuCam Linx multiplexer is compatible with both the S-video (analog) and composite video systems. AcuCam Concept IV camera is portable as the digital processor is integrated into the handpiece. Four images can be captured and enhanced in the docking station. The focal range from 1 mm to infinity allows images from full face to fine detail to be viewed and captured. The 62° wide angle of view allows full-arch views extraorally, and up to seven teeth to be captured intraorally. The 97.5° retroflex lens angle allows areas such as the distal of an upper third molar to be viewed easily. Once captured, the images can be electronically magnified, flipped vertically or horizontally, or rotated in 90° increments. In addition to the function touchpad on the front of the docking station, the foot switch captures images, scrolls through the views, and removes the shaking in unstable images. All components of the camera can be wiped down with a surface disinfectant. Disposable sheaths are available for use with the handpiece. AcuCam Concept IV intraoral camera system was used daily by 12 consultants over a 10-month evaluation period. This product received a 97% clinical rating.
