Description

Breeze Self-Adhesive Resin Cement is suitable for the cementation of virtually all cementable restorations. This self-adhesive material requires no pre-cementation tooth surface treatment beyond thorough cleansing and drying. Silane is included for treatment of the internal surfaces of all-ceramic restorations. The working time after the cement flows from the mixing tip is 1.5 minutes. A tack cure of one second per surface is recommended, followed by immediate removal of excess cement. Self-curing time is four minutes. Syringe caps and mixing tips are keyed to assure correct placement over the nozzles. Breeze is not recommended for porcelain veneers or non-cementable feldspathic porcelain restorations. The cement should be refrigerated and the components brought to room temperature before use. The kit is provided in a drawer-size storage tray and includes 4-ml syringes of A2 (3 syringes), Translucent (1 syringe) and Opaceous White (1 syringe); one 3-ml bottle of silane; 40 mixing tips; 10 intraoral tips; and instructions. Twenty-seven consultants used Breeze in cementing over 450 restorations. This product received a 92% clinical rating.

Product Features

Consultants overwhelmingly identified the ease of dispensing, ease of use and the auto-mix tips as outstanding characteristics of Breeze. Also highly rated were its self-adhesive quality, ease of clean-up (if done immediately after tack cure) and available shades. Some consultants wanted more available shades and found the need for refrigerated storage inconvenient. There were no reported debonds during the length of the evaluation. Removal of excess cement after setting was found to be a challenge if tack cured for too long. Fifty-nine percent of consultants said they would switch to Breeze and 74% would recommend this product to their colleagues.
