Description

EsCem RMGI is a resin-modified glass ionomer luting cement designed to provide strong, long-lasting adhesion for a wide range of indirect restorations. Its formulation combines the benefits of conventional glass ionomers with the enhanced mechanical strength and reduced solubility of resin-based chemistry.

Unique Attributes

  • Excellent retention and strong bonding to zirconia and metal-based restorations
  • Moisture-tolerant RMGI chemistry with minimal sensitivity
  • Great radiopacity for easy verification on implant crowns
  • Smooth handling with predictable tack-cure cleanup
  • Versatile performance across zirconia, gold, stainless steel crowns, bridges, and space maintainers

Clinical Tips from Evaluators

  • Use the recommended tack-cure time to prevent restoration displacement during flossing.
  • The light-cure option should be only for tack curing and removing excess cement, and final setting must be achieved solely through self-cure.
  • A little goes a long way, dispense conservatively to reduce waste.
  • Follow IFU closely, especially regarding placement on slightly moist tooth structure.

Indications

Cementation of the following indirect restorations:

  • Metal-based inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges
  • All high-strength (zirconia-based) all-ceramic crowns and bridges
  • Metal, ceramic, and fiber posts
  • Resin inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges
  • All ceramic inlays, requires a primer
