Description

Fill-in is a 53% by weight filled composite provisional material supplied in unit-dose syringes. Each package contains 3 g of material in a dual-barrel syringe with an optional applicator tip for precise incisal edge dispensing. Fill-in has a working time of 35 seconds, should be removed from the mouth at 60 seconds and finished at three minutes. Fill-in is designed for both short- and long-term provisional restorations. The material is compatible with light-cured composites for repair and characterization. The introductory kit contains five syringes each of shades A1, A2, A3.5, and XL with a laminated instruction card. Twenty-four consultants evaluated Fill-in while fabricating 362 provisional restorations. This product received an 84% clinical rating.

Product Features

Fill-in has accurate shades, sets hard and is easy to trim. Unit-dose syringes make dispensing simple and reduce concerns of cross contamination. The amount of material contained in each unit is sufficient to fabricate two molar crowns or a small three-unit bridge. When fabricating multiple units, it is necessary to work quickly due to the fast setting time. Removing the provisional from the prepared teeth and reseating it several times during setting is helpful in preventing locking the restoration onto the tooth. The lack of voids and durability of the provisionals received high ratings from the consultants. Thirty-six percent of the consultants would switch to Fill-in and 70% would recommend it.
