Description
FIT CHECKER II is an automixed addition silicone indicator for checking the fit of crowns, posts, inlays and dentures. FIT CHECKER II is applied directly from the mixing tip to the internal aspect of the restoration. After seating intraorally, the material is allowed to set for one minute before removal of the restoration. The white color of FIT CHECKER II allows visualization of burn-through areas indicating pressure points requiring adjustment. A thin, even coat indicates a good fit. The package evaluated contained two, 48-ml cartridges of material and six mixing tips. FIT CHECKER II was evaluated by 24 consultants in over 200 clinical cases.
Product Features
FIT CHECKER II is very easy to use and dispenses smoothly and easily from the cartridge. The mixture stays in place in the restoration and sets quickly. The precise identification of pressure points is a useful feature, allowing the dentist to make accurate adjustments. The set material is easy to remove from restorations, although sometimes leaving a slight greasy residue. Sixty-five percent of consultants found FIT CHECKER II to be equivalent to or better than their current product. Forty-five percent would both recommend and switch to FIT CHECKER II.
