Description

Honigum is an excellent addition silicone impression material for use in the MixStar automatic mixer and dispenser. Honigum is a unique impression material that contains reactive polysiloxanes with a microcrystalline wax matrix. It is supplied in heavy-body (blue), monophase (green), and light-body (yellow) viscosities. Heavy-body and monophase materials are packaged in 390-ml, double-barrel cartridges and dispensed with the MixStar machine. The light-body material is available in 25-ml auto-mix cartridges. The material exhibits a variable viscosity, which stacks well and flows under pressure. Working time is about 2:00 with a setting time of 3:00-4:00. Models can be poured 30 minutes after the impressions are made. The MixStar machine provides fast and easy mixing and dispensing. An optional foot pedal allows a “hands-free” approach to dispensing. The MixStar machine measures 41 x 15 x 43 cm and is equipped with on/off buttons, and automatic shut-off, a material level indicator, and timer. Fourteen consultants used Honigum and the MixStar system in over 160 impressions. This product received a 96% clinical rating.
