Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer, is a unique, non-toxic, fragrance-free and completely non-drying instant hand sanitizer formulation that contains no alcohol. Hy5 is formulated with the active anti-bacterial ingredient Benzalkonium Chloride (BZK). BZK is an anti-bacterial and antiseptic compound approved by the FDA for use as an anti-bacterial active ingredient in hand sanitizer products and reported to have 99.9% efficacy against the most common bacteria and viruses known to cause illness. Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer is indicated for frequent use only on physically clean hands by healthcare personnel to reduce the risk of cross-contamination by decreasing transient bacteria on the skin. It is available in two dispensers: 250 mL “desk top size” pump bottle (approximately 600 uses) or 1200 mL refill with a hands-free wall dispenser (approximately 1780 uses). Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer in the countertop pump bottle was used by 45 consultants in over 2500 uses. This hand sanitizer received a 91% clinical rating.

Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer does not contain alcohol, so it is especially useful for those with sensitive skin or for high-frequency users, as it does not result in over-drying. Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer is a clear liquid that is aerated into foam through the pump dispenser. Only a small amount (thumbnail size) is required. When the proper amount is used, it dries quickly with hand rubbing. A full pump dispenses more than the recommended amount of foam. If too much is used, drying time is extended, and it can leave the hands feeling sticky. When Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer is used properly, skin remains soft even after repeated uses. Forty-four percent of consultants found Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer to be better than other hand sanitizers they have used, and 33% found it to be equivalent. Sixty-two percent of consultants would switch to Hy5 Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizer, and 78% would recommend it.
