Description

O-Bite is a vinyl polysiloxane bite registration material. It is designed to be firm for easy trimming but has flexibility to resist locking into undercuts. The material is dispensed from a 50-ml, dual-barreled cartridge for use with a standard Type 50, 1:1 dispensing gun. Auto-mix tips included in the standard kit are designed to reduce material waste. Working time is 30 seconds, with a 90-second set time in the mouth. O-Bite is available in an orange color and scent and has a neutral taste. Each kit contains four, 50-ml cartridges of material plus 15 mixing tips. Twenty-nine consultants evaluated O-Bite for 315 procedures. This product received a 92% clinical rating.

Material rigidity and tear resistance received high marks. Working time was reported as excellent. Additionally, most consultants appreciated the moderate setting time, although some preferred a faster-setting material.
