Description

Quantium™ is a light-cured, radiopaque universal dental composite designed for both anterior and posterior restorations. It blends excellent handling, esthetics and strength into one material. Key design attributes include a nano-micro filler blend that enhances strength and polishability, low shrinkage to minimize stress and micro-leakage, and high radiopacity for better detection on radiographs. Quantium is available in syringe and unit-dose delivery in 14 shades, including 6 body, 6 enamel, bleach, and incisal.

Unique Attributes

  • Excellent handling characteristics, maintains shape when sculpted and isn’t sticky.
  • Polishes easily to a smooth, glossy finish with long-lasting shine.
  • Versatile system with enamel and body shades that layer well for natural depth.
  • Low-volumetric shrinkage, allowing for better margins.
  • High radiopacity for radiographic visibility.

Clinical Tips

  • Warm the composite before placement for improved flow and sculptability.
  • Use a brush or wetting resin for ideal contour and polish.
  • Perform shade matching before starting restorations to ensure the best esthetic result.
  • For anterior cases, layer body and enamel shades to achieve optimal depth and translucency.
  • Works especially well for posterior restorations due to its packability and firmness.

Indications

  • Direct anterior and posterior restorations (Class I through V)
  • Core build-up material
  • Splinting
  • Indirect restorations, including inlays, onlays, and veneers
