Problem

Occasionally a patient will present to our office with symptoms of acute muscle and joint pain accompanied by frequent headaches. These patients usually require some type of immediate oral device but are not always capable of opening for an impression without further injury. Permanent appliances usually require some fabrication in a lab which can take a couple of weeks. However, the patient would like some instant solutions to help reduce their symptoms.

Solution

QuickSplint is a useful and readily available device technique which we can offer to the patient, to give them some of the relief they are seeking. It is not intended to be used for long-term treatment and we are sure to inform the patient about this. The patient appreciates us for providing some immediate attention and support for their problem.
