Description
MicroPrime G Gel is a desensitizing agent that contains both glutaraldehyde and HEMA to facilitate patient post-operative comfort. The gel is applied with a flocked applicator tip to make placement of the material easier. It works with most all cements and dentin bonding agents while not affecting their bond strength.
Unique Attributes
- Contains glutaraldehyde and HEMA
- Facilitates patient comfort
- Compatible with popular adhesive systems, cements, and substrates
- Antimicrobial
Clinical Tips
- Use with rubber dam, if possible, to avoid soft tissue contact as it may burn the soft tissues
- Proper suction and isolation of the area is advised as the gel does need to be rinsed well after placement
- Express a small amount into the base of the preparation, and use the brush applicator to spread material
- Use plenty of the gel; use the tip to swirl it around to cover the prep entirely
- Do not dry teeth completely
- Use full 30 seconds to scrub and apply two layers
Indications
- Nonbonded and bonded applications
- Placement under dental cements or other restorative materials-temporary, provisional or final
- May be used to eliminate post-operative sensitivity under amalgam restorations
- Assists dentin bonding agents by supporting the collagen framework, thus making it easier for the adhesive to penetrate the tooth
