Consultants’ Comments
- “Excellent radiopacity.”
- “The material has great flowability and opacity.”
- “There was some lateral canal penetration observed.”
- “I like the antimicrobial properties.”
- “The dispensing tips are too large to fit into most canals.”
Description
BioSeal™ is a ready-to-use, injectable, bioceramic endodontic sealer. It is an insoluble, radiopaque material based on calcium silicate and calcium phosphate, which requires the presence of water to set and harden.
Unique Attributes
- Combines calcium silicate, calcium phosphate, bioactive glass, chlorhexidine, and biomimetic polymers
- Hydroxyapatite producing
- Antibacterial
- Hydrophilic
- Highly Radiopaque
Clinical Tips
- Dry canals moderately, use slight pressure to inject, and withdraw the syringe as you inject.
- Don’t overfill and place the material in the canal slowly with very light pressure.
- Lightly coat gutta percha with the sealer.
- The sealer has low viscosity, so it’s not necessary to pump the gutta percha.
- Extrude the sealer onto a mixing pad and deliver with the gutta percha or a lentullo spiral to control how much sealer is placed into the canal.

Komet’s FQ is a rotary, heat-treated endodontic file system that safely, efficiently, and reliably treats the toughest root canal cases.
Seamless Solution for Complex Canals
- Efficiently removes debris in the most complicated cases with its double-S cross section and narrow instrument core.
- Offers extreme flexibility and a larger chip space because of its patented variably tapered file core. (Only for instruments with taper .06)
- Broad range of files allows clinicians to adapt to specific treatment cases while preserving the natural canal anatomy.
- The heat-treated NiTi file is less likely to separate due to its high cyclic fatigue resistance

Komet’s Procodile Q is a left-cutting (reciprocating) heat-treated endodontic file system.
With a completely new file design, Procodile Q can allow for even safer and more efficient root canal preparation.
Its innovative, variably tapered file core makes it more efficient, flexible and ideal when shaping a root canal and completing a high-quality preparation.
- Heat-treated: Increases file flexibility, making the file easier to bend and improves efficiency when shaping root canals
- Variably tapered file core: Allows for optimal preparation of root canals and increased file adaptability due to diameter of core decreasing towards the shank
- Effective substance removal: Variably tapered file core increases chip space and infected tissue is removed from the canal more effectively
- Increased safety: Up to 300 % more resistant to cyclic fatigue, decreasing the risk of file fracture

Evaluators’ Comments
- “Best cutting efficiency for any single-use burs that I have used.”
- “Cut smooth with no chatter on the teeth.”
- “Excellent quality. They were virtually indistinguishable from multi-use burs.”
- “In today’s heightened sensitivity to infection control, a single-usebur is a huge advantage.”
- “They cut better than a typical single-use bur. I was able to do an entire quadrant and felt like it was just as good at the end of the procedure as it was at the very beginning.”
- “Consistently cut very fast and smooth.”
- “With multi-use burs, sometimes you find it needs to be replaced as you get started. It was nice knowing that I definitely had a sharp and new, ready to cut bur for the procedure.”
- “I require a lot of different shaped burs for direct and indirect procedures, endodontics, and surgical procedures; so, I prefer having a bur block with everything I need on it. It would take a considerable amount of time to set up for each procedure with only single-use burs.”
