QUATTROcare

QUATTROcare

Consultants’ Comments

  • “Very convenient and easy to use.”
  • “Oil residue left in the chamber after cycling is messy.”

Description

QUATTROcare is an excellent system for automatic handpiece maintenance and purging. QUATTROcare is designed for cleaning, lubricating, and purging high-speed, low-speed, and straight handpieces, air-driven scalers, and air motors. QUATTROcare can be used for virtually all manufacturers’ handpieces and air motors, and up to four handpieces can be cleaned and purged in the same cycle. Cycle times range from 20 to 45 seconds, depending on the time chosen for air purging. Handpieces may be sterilized immediately after the maintenance cycle. The handpiece chamber is accessed from the front of the unit, where four coupling outlets allow the handpieces or air motors to be attached. The system requires that only QUATTROcare lubricating spray be used. An oil-trap tray, located in the handpiece chamber, collects excess lubricant during the cleaning and purging cycles. The display panel on the top of the unit includes a start button and indicator lights for cycle status and spray replenishing. The 36 x 28 x 38-cm unit weighs 5.4 kg and requires connections to a compressed-air line and 120 V, 20-amp electrical circuit. Ten consultants used QUATTROcare over a two-month evaluation period. This product received a 98% clinical rating.
