What type of curing light would you recommend for a pediatric practice, where time management is an important aspect of our composite restorative procedures?
A high-intensity LED curing light such as FlashMax P3 (CMS Dental) would be the perfect answer for procedures that need to be completed as quickly as possible. This type of curing light has a significantly higher light output than most LED curing lights, which makes it able to cure composites in 2 to 4 seconds. It does, however, have a significant heat output, so keeping the tip away from gingival tissues is important.
