Evaluators’ Comments
- “Better and easy to use. The viscosity keeps it where you place it without slumping.”
- “The fluorescence was amazing — very precise and easy clean-up. Really helpful in conserving natural tooth enamel.”
- “It is extremely easy to visualize and remove. I had no idea how much excess material I was leaving before using this.”
- “Occlusal buildups that match the tooth color but still show distinction under blue light are a total game changer.”
- “Sometimes it’s too sticky of a material and doesn’t flow into the tray as easily.”
Description
AlignerFlow LC is a light-curing, fluorescent nano-hybrid/flowable composite formulation developed specifically for use in aligner therapy. It is designed to be injected into aligner templates for the creation of attachments, with properties that support precision, stability, and easy removal. The material’s fluorescence under UV-A light enables visualization of excess or residual material, which helps protect the enamel at removal. Its high filler load (≈ 83 % w/w) helps the composite resist abrasion and maintain performance over the duration of orthodontic treatment.

Unique Attributes
- Highly fluorescent under blue or UV light, making attachment placement and removal clearly visible.
- Maintains shape with excellent viscosity and minimal slumping during tray loading.
- Distinct contrast between composite and tooth structure under curing or black light enhances accuracy and reduces risk of enamel damage.
- Easy to identify and remove excess material, minimizing flash and improving precision in attachment profiles.
- Specifically optimized for clear aligner attachments, offering better control and reduced waste compared to traditional flowables.
Clinical Tips
- Work in a warmer environment to improve extrusion; in cooler climates, consider using a larger-gauge or universal syringe tip.
- Use blue or UV light to identify flash and verify complete removal of resin after curing.
- Bleed the syringe tip before application and keep it in contact
- with the resin while dispensing to avoid air entrapment.
- Apply minimal material — a small amount goes a long way and helps prevent excess flow into adjacent teeth.
- Preload attachment templates to streamline placement and reduce chair time.
Indications
- Retention of aligners, e.g., by fabrication of aligner attachments
- Bonding of lingual retainers
- Occlusal build-ups
