Description

Clarity™ Aligners with Clarity™ Precision Grip Attachments from Solventum are designed to accurately reproduce the attachments in the digital plan without introducing composite flash, which can affect planned engagement with the aligner and introduce unplanned tooth movement.

Clarity Precision Grip Attachments are bar and bevel attachments that can be adjusted in size, depth and position within Clarity Portal. The attachments support movements such as extrusion, intrusion, rotation, tipping, translation, torque, expansion, and space closure. The system offers proprietary staging and setup protocols designed to deliver consistency and treatment efficiency when applied to deep bite, anterior lingual root torque, open bite, and sequential posterior distalization/mesialization. Clarity Aligners are indicated for simple to complex cases in growing patients and adults.

Unique Attributes

  • Clarity Precision Grip Attachments are fabricated with 3D printed composite and preloaded into a bonding tray. 3D printed precision delivers good aligner engagement and eliminates the presence of composite flash, which can introduce undesired contact with the aligner.
  • Consistent, well-fitting aligner trays with good clarity and esthetics contributed to positive patient acceptance.
  • Staging protocols and attachment engagement supported predictable tooth movement with minimal mid-treatment modification.

Clinical Tips from Evaluators

  • Ensure attachments are properly bonded and that bonding agents are completely cured to maximize benefit of aligner engagement and force expression.
  • Emphasize patient compliance with recommended wear time to achieve predictable movement, especially in cases involving extrusion or rotation.
  • Monitor tracking closely at early follow-up visits and address minor misfits promptly to avoid mid-treatment refinements.
  • Use chewies or seating tools during initial delivery and after aligner changes to improve adaptation around Clarity Precision Grip Attachments.
