Product Features
Most consultants found the ease of operation, the size and softness of the brush head, the instructions, and the cleaning effectiveness of the Sonicare IntelliClean system 8800 to be excellent. Several noted the convenience of not having to place toothpaste on the brush and found the brush quieter than the Sonicare Elite, while at the same time giving a very polished and smooth result. The programmable Quadpacer and the design ability for placement on the counter were also highly rated. Many patients, however, stated that the overall size of the toothbrush was awkward and bulky, preferring a more slender handle. Ratings for the overall taste and consistency of the toothpaste varied widely, depending on personal preferences. Toothpaste cartridges lasted an average of two to three weeks with twice daily use. Many patients perceived difficulty in changing the toothpaste cartridges.
