Description

Versa-Temp 2 is a provisional crown and bridge material with increased strength compared to the previous formulation. Versa-Temp 2 has a natural fluorescence and it has a compressive strength of 450 MPa. It is available in shades BL, A1, A2, and A3. Versa-Temp 2 reaches a “rubber” phase after 60-70 seconds from initial mix and should be removed from the mouth at that time. It should remain in the matrix until completely cured, 4 minutes from the initiation of mixing. Versa-Temp 2 comes in 50ml cartridges and fits a standard 1:1 impression gun. Versa-Temp 2 shade A2 was evaluated by 27 consultants in 406 uses. This provisional material received an 86% clinical rating.

Product Features

Versa-Temp 2 produced strong, durable provisional restorations. It had a relatively fast setting time and was best removed from the mouth during the rubbery phase. No significant shrinkage or distortion occurred, and fit was rated as very good. Margins could be trimmed without chipping, and it polished to a shiny finish. The final esthetics of the A2 shade evaluated were very good, with enough opacity to mask most underlying cements.
