Description

Synea is a line of fiber-optic, high-speed handpieces with a small diameter, bevel-shaped head that incorporates a push-button chuck. Instead of traditional fiber-optic bundles, Synea features a solid glass rod that is created from a single mold. This reportedly will minimize light degradation even after thousands of sterilization cycles. The handpieces are compact and designed with the operators’ comfort in mind. The Synea TA-96Lw weighs about 49 g with an even distribution of weight for increased balance. The head has a 10.5-mm diameter and features triple air/water spray holes for more efficient cooling of the cutting surface. The patented internal flow is designed to keep contaminants out and increase the turbine life. The outer shell is crafted from a stainless steel alloy and is finished with “Stain-Nickel” chrome to improve scratch resistance and minimize the possibility of deterioration caused by cleaning chemicals. The maximum operating speed of the Synea TA-96Lw is 370,000 rpm with the recommended air pressure for both being 45 psi. Five consultants evaluated the Synea TA-96Lw in over 700 procedures during a six-month period. This product received a 96% clinical rating.
