The Glo Science PRO Gum Health Device is intended to help boost oral health and gently whiten teeth. It uses a special foam treatment with antimicrobial hydrogen peroxide, xylitol, and other compounds to reportedly reduce oral germs and to restore healthy oral pH. The device has a special LED light that warms the foam while in the mouth, causing it to volumize and fill the hard-to-reach places in the teeth and gums. After just 8 minutes, it can be expelled and rinsed with water.
The complete kit
Dispensing the foam into the mouthpiece
Testing the consistency of the foam
First try-in of the mouthpiece
Utilizing the LED light function of the mouthpiece
Initial Insights
The foam was refreshing and during use the mouth felt tingly.
For sensitive teeth, it can be hard to find products that don’t hurt, but Glo Pro felt gentle.
The foam can come out quickly, so patients might find it hard not to waste product if they don’t get the hang of it right away.
More sizes would be really great to have available.
Cavex Bite&White ExSense Tooth Conditioner is a mint-flavored gel created to relieve tooth sensitivity not only after tooth whitening procedures, but for sensitivity in general. ExSense Tooth Conditioner may be used as an adjunct to a normal brushing routine. It can be applied with a brush or a finger to any sensitive areas or entire arches. After 10 minutes of contact time, simply expel excess gel and rinse with water.
Here at Dental Advisor, we found that it was easy to apply the gel not only to fingers, as the instructions recommend, but also to brushes and swabs, for those hoping to keep fingers away from the mouth!

The mint flavor is nice and mild. The aftertaste is pleasant.
It was slightly sticky while on my teeth but there wasn’t any residue left after rinsing.
I liked the consistency – it didn’t drip or slide around.

There is a growing trend in the dental materials world, especially in cementation, and that trend is making products more versatile. We recently received Visalys CemCore (Kettenbach Dental) here at the Dental Advisor. Visalys CemCore is BOTH a dual-curing adhesive cement and core-buildup material. Talk about versatile… is this the future of dental materials?
What would this mean to your practice? It means you only need to stock one material for cementing posts, placing cores, and cementing your final restorations! According to the manufacturer this material will adhere to any substrate including :
This material is available in five shades: Bleach, Universal, Translucent, Dark, and Opaque (see images below). All shades have matching try-in pastes (see image below).
Visalys CemCore is an adhesive cement. This means there is a separate bonding step. This system includes a tooth primer as well as a restorative primer that uses their Active-Connect-Technology. Their primers are extremely easy to use, only requiring a 20 second rub and drying with air. No need to light cure.

What were the Initial Insights of the Dental Advisor team and our editorial board? – Although etching is only absolutely indicated when cementing to enamel, can use any kind of etching technique with this product. Dr. Sabiha Bunek (CEO of Dental Advisor) was excited to hear this, as she prefers to total etch whenever possible. – Some of our board members are self-admittedly, notorious “mix and matchers” with bonding agents. The chemistry in this product does not allow trading out the tooth primer, but provides the strong bond strengths. Will they love the tooth primer as well as their current bonding agents? We can’t wait to find out! – We liked the shade selection. – Thin mixing tip allows for precise placement. – The editorial board was abuzz about the versatility of this product, and were all excited to take it back to their offices to evaluate!

As I’ve mentioned before, I like having options. There are so many different treatment situations and you never know what is going to walk through the door. I like to have the right material for the right situation… maybe that is why I love working at the Dental Advisor :-).
Here at the Dental Advisor we recently received Estelite Universal Flow (Tokuyama). If you like choices… wow, this is for you. This flowable composite is made with Tokuyama’s supra-nano, spherical filler technology which I have found makes your restorations very easy to finish. According to the manufacturer it also has a higher filler content than traditional flowables, does not compromise on strength, and is non-sticky.
This flowable composite comes in three different viscosities and a ton of different shades (High: 7 shades, Medium: 12 shades, Super Low: 6 shades). The Super Low flow is very thick. When we were playing with it, as you can see in the image below, it stacked up perfectly and did not move after that. The Medium Flow flowed out just a little, and the High Flow pancaked right out. The Medium Flow also comes in a compule (they call it PLT) that fits in your composite gun and has a long tip on it so you can still get it down to the floor of your box. All viscosities can be bought separately, so you just get the viscosities and shades you want.
Three viscosities
Dispensing the Super Low Flow
Dispensing the Medium Flow right next to the Super Low Flow
Administering the High Flow next to the other two
Comparing the Medium Flow from the compule (PLT) to the syringed
All three next to each other
What were the Initial Insights of the Dental Advisor team? – The viscosities were exactly as promised. – Lots of selection! – Is it too much selection for some clinicians? Many prefer to minimize inventory. – The Super Low viscosity was difficult to extrude, the other two were great. – I really like the PLT (compule). I felt very stable extruding it compared to the syringes.
